Taj’s baby photography session in my Papakura newborn studio was a dream from start to finish. As an Auckland baby photographer, I love welcoming families into my cozy space to document these special early days. Taj arrived with his mum, dad, and aunty, who had traveled from Australia. From the moment we wrapped him up, he slept soundly, allowing us to capture a variety of beautiful photos showcasing just how tiny and precious he is.
We posed Taj in different setups, using soft, neutral-toned props that complemented his delicate features. Alongside classic newborn portraits, we focused on capturing his family’s deep love and connection. His aunty’s visit made this session even more special. We created beautiful images of the two of them together—photos his family will treasure forever. These heartfelt moments also make wonderful gifts, perfect for sharing with loved ones.
Newborn photography isn’t just about capturing baby alone. It’s about celebrating the people who surround them with love in these early weeks. Grandparents, aunties, uncles, or close family friends—your “village” plays an important role in your baby’s life. Including them in your newborn session adds meaning to your images and preserves those relationships for years to come.
As an Auckland baby photographer, I encourage families to bring anyone who plays a special role in their little one’s journey. These are the moments that matter most—the quiet cuddles, the loving glances, and the hands that will help guide them as they grow.
If you’re looking for a photographer to capture your newborn and the people who mean the most, my warm and welcoming studio is the perfect place. Whether that’s your brand-new baby or right up to one year old, it’s never too late.
