I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing my sister-in-law, Hannah, and her adorable twin daughters, Millie and Lulu, in the studio. It was such a heartwarming experience, made even more special by the presence of their big brother Ollie and their nana, Mary—my wonderful mother-in-law and super nana!
Photographing two babies and a toddler definitely has its challenges. Wrangling two curious little girls while keeping a toddler entertained is no easy task! But as any parent will tell you, those tricky moments are completely worth it. Between the giggles, the squirming, and trying to capture the perfect shot, the session was full of joy. It was a beautiful, albeit chaotic, experience.
Millie and Lulu were absolutely adorable. Their wide, curious eyes and infectious giggles made the shoot even more fun. Watching their little personalities shine through was such a delight. Their big brother added extra warmth to the photos, and his sweet interactions with his sisters were priceless. While it was a bit hectic at times, with toys and treats being passed around, it was all worth it to capture these precious moments.
I made sure to incorporate earthy tones and natural textures into the shoot. This gave the photos a warm, timeless feel. As a mother myself, I know how quickly those early days with your little ones pass. I wanted to create something for Hannah to cherish for years to come, a reminder of how magical this time in her life truly is.
As an Auckland newborn & family photographer, I’m fortunate to meet so many amazing families like Hannah’s. It’s such an honor to be part of their journey, even if just for a short time behind the lens. I’m so grateful for the chance to capture these memories for them and can’t wait to see where life takes this beautiful family.
