Olivia’s First Birthday Cake Smash

Olivia’s first birthday was celebrated in the most fun and memorable way at my beautiful newborn and baby photography studio in Papakura, Auckland! From the moment Mum and Dad walked in with their sweet girl, the studio was filled with love, laughter, and excitement.

We began the session with some classic family portraits. Since first birthdays are such a special milestone, capturing these moments with Mum and Dad was a must. Olivia was full of smiles and giggles, making it so easy to document their love and connection. These images will be such a treasure for years to come!

After that, it was time for the highlight of the session—the cake smash! The setup featured a gorgeous teddy bear theme, with soft, girly tones that perfectly complemented Olivias sweet little tutu. At first, Olivia was curious about the cake, carefully exploring it with her hands. But then, she discovered something even more exciting—a wooden spoon! With a big grin on her face, she used it to break up the cake, creating the cutest little mess.

As the session went on, Olivia became even more adventurous. Near the end, she stood up, gave the cake one last push, and tipped it right over! It was such a fun and spontaneous moment that had everyone laughing – the epitome of cakesmash photography!

To finish, we wrapped up with a warm bubble bath—a perfect way to clean up while capturing even more adorable moments. Olivia absolutely loved splashing in the water, her little giggles filling the studio. It was the sweetest way to end her session, leaving everyone with full hearts and beautiful memories.
